Testing

At Autoclave Engineering we have several testing options to suit your steriliser / autoclave requirements. Whether you require Quarterly, Six Monthly or Annual Testing your unit will be tested on a pre-arranged date and all tests will be carried out in accordance with HTM2010 / HTM01/05 EN285 regulations. We are also able to compile SOP’s for any client should they wish not to use the HTM’s or EN regulations.

At the beginning of the contract we will provide you with approximate dates that the engineer will visit your site. We will also contact you at the beginning of the week before your visit is due to discuss site availability.

Every new steriliser / autoclave needs to be set up and commissioned with the clients load specifications and requirements, at Autoclave Engineering our fully qualified engineers are happy to carry out these tests written down in the HTM guidelines and SOP processes. All tests will then be documented and kept with your organisation as the master process reference that every preceding test can be referred back to ensuring that every year your unit is operating exactly the same as when it was purchased.

We are also able to compile SOP’s for any client should they wish not to use the HTM’s or EN regulations.

We offer Section 9 Steam Quality Testing for NHS, PCT, Pharmaceutical, Universities, Government and other council run facilities

From the 1st October 2008 all member states of CEN (European Committee for Standardisation) who use steam in any moist heat sterilization application will be required to test the steam for non-condensable gases, superheat and dryness value. Clients have to provide evidence that there steriliser complies with the requirements of the European standards with these being maintained and declared.

The steam supply required for moist heat sterilization needs to be within the specifications set out in EN285:2006.
