Pressure Vessel Inspections
Pressure Vessel Inspections (PVI's) must be carried out in accordance with Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR 2000) which is a legal requirement.
All pressure vessel must be provided with a Written Scheme of Examination (WSE). This document must cover all of the vessels safety devices, pipework and the vessel itself that may rise to danger. The contents of a (WSE) must be reviewed at regular intervals (every 14 months) which allows the competant person to carry out the appropriate tests and compare both documents to make sure the equipment is fit for its intended use.
Pressure Vessel Inspections dont have to be carried out by a insurance company. But the equipment must be certified by a competant person to allow a insurance company to cover you for the use of it.
